The same Premier League result can have different bookmaker prices

Compare one full-time 1X2 selection across bookmakers without mixing home, draw and away outcomes.

Choose the fixture and result

A Premier League full-time 1X2 market has three selections: home win, draw and away win. To compare prices, fix the official fixture and one of those outcomes. A home-win quote at one bookmaker and a draw quote at another are not alternatives for the same bet.

Confirm the clubs, venue and kickoff on the official Premier League fixture list. Scheduled times can change, so the fixture and the bookmaker's current market both need a final check before a wager.

Compare the decimal return

When two bookmakers offer the same full-time result, a higher decimal price returns more for the same winning stake. At 2.35 versus 2.28, a £25 winning stake would return £58.75 or £57.00, including the stake. That £1.75 gap is a payout difference for the matched selection, not evidence about the result's true chance.

If one bookmaker has suspended the result, do not keep its prior quote in the live ranking. A missing result should be labelled unavailable at the source capture, not replaced with another market such as draw no bet.

Read the whole 1X2 row

The draw is a full selection, not a note between the two clubs. For bookmaker margin, use all three prices from the same bookmaker and snapshot. For shopping one result, compare that result across books. Those are related but different questions.

  • Same match, full-time market and result.
  • Highest decimal payout among currently listed matching quotes.
  • Final confirmation of the bookmaker's live price and rules.

Worked example

Illustration: the home win is 2.35 at Book A and 2.28 at Book B. A £25 winning stake returns £58.75 or £57.00. Book C's 3.40 draw price is not part of the home-win ranking.

Illustrative numbers for explaining the calculation. They are not current bookmaker quotes.

Sources and method

All quoted prices are hypothetical. Total return is stake times decimal price. The official Premier League fixture identifies the match; this article does not claim a current best bookmaker.
